This page covers where the development history is published, where your data lives, how the licence works and what we do not promise.
Transparent Development
What every release changes is written in the public changelog, and the same history is published on GitHub. ALFA Dizayn has been building jekcms since November 2025, and 700+ releases have shipped so far. Prices are on the site; there is no "request a quote" form.
Your Data Is Yours
jekcms is self-hosted: your content and database live on your own server. You can migrate in from WordPress (via the Migrator plugin, WordPress's own export file, SQL or the REST API), Ghost, Substack, Medium and Blogger, images included, and export at any time as WordPress WXR, Ghost JSON or jekcms JSON. If you decide to leave, your content goes with you.

You Know Year Two’s Price Today
The licence is yearly and the first year is discounted. The renewal price is printed on every card on the pricing page, so you already know what year two costs. Renewal is not automatic: an e-mail arrives as the date approaches and you pay only if you want to.
The Free Edition Is Actually Free
The free edition asks for no card details, has no trial countdown and never starts charging on its own. It can be used in production on a single domain with three themes.
Support Response Time
We answer support requests within 24–48 business hours. We do not offer 24/7 live support.

How Is This Sustainable?
The question we hear most about a yearly licence: what happens if I do not renew?
Where the Revenue Comes From
Development is funded by annual licenses and their renewals. This is not a subscription: if you stop renewing, your site does not shut down. It falls back to the free edition and keeps receiving updates; only the premium themes, plugins and AI rights switch off. There are no ads in the product and we do not sell data. ALFA Dizayn's own publishing sites run on jekcms too.
The Release History Is Public
700+ releases have shipped so far, each dated in the public changelog. You can check there yourself whether development is still going.
If jekcms Shut Down
The code is on your server and the database is yours. Export everything in one click as WordPress WXR, Ghost JSON or jekcms JSON; the REST API and the MCP server let an agent pull the same data. Even if jekcms closed one day, your site would keep running on your own server.
What We Do Not Promise
We do not offer unlimited free support or 24/7 live help, and we do not build every request. Updates cover the core and its components; custom development is separate work, priced separately.
Rules We Follow on This Site
- Every feature described on this site exists in the product; we check the pages against the code.
- We say plainly that no system is absolutely secure; the protections we apply are listed one by one on the security page.
- jekcms is a commercial product and is not open source; every downloaded copy is traceable.
- Claims you could not verify, such as uptime percentages, customer counts or certifications, do not appear on this site.
